Natalia Tikhonova is an artist, curator, and researcher currently based in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Tikhonova works with a variety of mediums, ranging from poems and painting, to social and curatorial projects. In her artistic and social practices, she draws upon her studies in curation at the Smolny and Bard Colleges, as well as her education from the Roerich Art College in painting.
“My projects are mainly dedicated to the states of instability and fluidity with its paradox of stay and movement at the same time. I work on the questions of memory, identity, personal and political borders, media, and the art definition itself.”
